Cryptext collects nothing, sends nothing, and stores nothing about you. All encryption and decryption happen entirely on your device.
Cryptext does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. We operate no servers, require no account, and use no analytics. We never see your messages, your passwords, or any other information about you or your device.
Cryptext has no internet permission. The app is technically incapable of connecting to a network or sending data off your device. Everything it does happens locally.
The text you encrypt or decrypt, and the passwords you enter, exist only in your device's memory for as long as the operation takes. They are never uploaded, never transmitted, and never stored by us — we have no servers to store them on.
When you copy decrypted text, it is placed on your device's clipboard so you can paste it elsewhere. Cryptext automatically clears this clipboard content after roughly 90 seconds. We do not read, collect, or transmit clipboard data.
Cryptext contains no advertising, no third-party analytics, no trackers, and no third-party software development kits that collect data.
Cryptext requests no sensitive permissions. It does not access your contacts, location, camera, microphone, photos, files, or network.
Because Cryptext collects no data from anyone, it collects no data from children. The app does not knowingly gather information from users of any age, as it gathers no information at all.
If this policy changes, we will update the effective date above and post the revised version at this same address.
